Tires Types

I bought a 2012 Camaro RS that needs new front tires. The rears are new Hankook tires. I thought I would get the same tire for the front, but the rear tire's description from HanKook says it is designed a performance SUV/truck tire. Is that type of tire ok for a Camaro? Should I look to replace all 4 tires?

SUV tires for Camaro

Check the load and Speed ratings on the Hankook tires and compare these with the tires which are OEM for your Camaro. As long as they have a higher rating you should have no problems. The one possible conflict that I see is that the speed rating might be lower on the Hankooks than you would find on the OEM. If you do not ever intend to drive at the maximum limit of the speed rating this should not prove to be a major obstacle, but if you can find tires which are rated higher, you will not have any problems. Just keep in mind, however, that the higher rating usually brings a higher price tag.
