The new tire you bought is almost an inch larger in overall diameter and this could result in clearance problems. The only way to be absolutely sure if there is enough space is to try a test fitting.
There are many things that can affect the clearance including the age and mechanical condition of a vehicle so even if it might be OK on a similar vehicle, it might not apply in your case.
I remember a customer who was thinking of installing larger tires and we tried a test fitting to ensure there was enough clearance. He decided to wait and a few months later when he actually installed the larger tires his vehicle's clearance had changed because of some mechanical problem he had experienced during that period.
So don't take anyone's word for this ... do a test fitting before making the final installation.
