Tire Reviews: Kumho Ecsta tires in 215/55R17

Purchased four Kumho Ecsta tires in March 2006 from dealer in Virginia. I thought I had made a great deal. Have an Infinity I-35 w/sport package and replaced the Bridgestone tires that came with the car - hard riding tires. Replacement done at 40,656 miles.
In the last three months - January - March 2010, have replaced the Kumhos - sidewall issues. Front two blew out. I contacted Kumho dealer in Fort Worth (I moved to Texas in June 2006) and he stated I would have to go back to Virginia for any replacement tires, etc. So, instead I purchased four new tires with just over 25,000 miles on the Kumho's.
Was this a good buy? Hard to say, with only 25,000 miles on the tires - I'm out the original $460.00 for the Kumhos and another $600 for the replacement tires - yes, this was a terrible buy on my part.
They may have good tires and hopefully for all of you who intend or have purchased these tires, you won't have any side wall issues, but I have learned my lesson.
I may pay more, but I think my replacement tires will last much longer and, over time, cost me a lot less.
