Tire recall I was not notified and had a blow out.
Driving rv in NM. The tread separated. Bought a new tire at store in Gallup. I do not have the old tire. How to get a new tire.
Have you contacted the tire dealer or the manufacturer of the tire which failed?
This would be my first step in attempting to reach a solution. If you are expecting a refund or replacement, I would expect that you would first have to produce a receipt or some other record that would verify that you actually acquired the defective tire, especially since you no longer have the old tire, or what was left of it.
How did you learn about the recall? Usually tire recalls are issued only for certain specific models of tires and quite often even for tires which are produced during certain time periods at specific manufacturing plants. Much of the information which would verify that your tire was subject to a specific recall would be embodied in the carcass of the tire you no longer have. Without this you may have a difficult time in getting the compensation which you are seeking.
