Tire Concerns: RZR WHEELS-CAR TIRES
by KEN SHANHOLTZER
I BROKE A TIRE ON MY POLARIS RZR SO I ORDERED A NEW ONE BUT BY THE WEEKEND IT HAD NOT SHOWN UP SO I WENT TO MY LOCAL TIRE STORE AND ASKED IF THEY HAD FOUR NEW TIRES THAT WOULD WORK ON MY 14 INCH POLARIS WHEELS TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I WENT AROUND A CORNER AND THE FRONT TIRE ROLLED OFF THE WHEEL AND I ENDED UP WITH A BROKEN NECK, $250,000 IN HOSPITAL BILLS AND A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE. COULD YOU TELL ME IF THAT RADIAL TIRE THEY PUT ON MY RZR ARE COMPATIBLE AS FAR AS THE BEAD CONFIGURATION, THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
By making a long story short you have not provided sufficient details that could lead anyone to conclude that someone is responsible for the accident you had and the resulting injury and expense.
There are many factors that could come into play and if you wish to learn whether or not someone can be held responsible a very thorough investigation will need to be done.
There is a possibility that the tires, and wheels were not properly matched, that something was defective, or that the installation or work was done poorly or even negligently. Also there is a possibility that the accident was caused by something that had happened to the vehicle after it left the shop or through some fault of the diver. None of these things can be determined from the information provided.
There are people who specialize in accident reconstruction who might help in this. I personally have not had any experience with any, but if you were to speak to the police or a lawyer they might help you locate one of these persons.
