Tire Concerns Change gear ratio when changing to larger tire

My 91 Ford Ranger came from the factory with P215/70R14 tires, I want to put P235/75R15 tires on the truck and want to know if I need to change the gear ratio for the larger tires

Editorial Comment:

While it will make some difference in performance, which you can discover by comparing the two sizes with our Tire Size Calculator most people do not even consider changing gear ratio when changing tire sizes.

I'm not suggesting that this might not be a good idea, especially if you like to experiment with modifying your vehicle, but I'd suggest that this is something that is maybe more appropriate for someone who likes to tinker and fix, rather than someone who just gets a mechanic to do the work for them (I'm not sure which group you fall in).
