i have a 2001 Pontiac Montana on 18inch brazen rims just did my front strut now front tiers rub with bottom of strut mount

You didn't mention whether you had 235/55/R18 tires on before you did the work, but I'm assuming that you did and that there was no problem before with these tires.

If that is the case, the mechanic, or whoever did the work has somehow done something that has affected the clearance you had before and this needs to be corrected or you need to change to a tire which is slightly smaller so that you do not have the rubbing.

Too much tire

It may be that the suspension work affected the clearance as well, but that's too much tire. The OEM size on the Montana is 235/60/16, so the proper Plus 2 sizing would be 235/50/18. The odometer and speedometer settings will also be off with the 235/55 size.
