The Goodyear Eagle tires line is extensive and may seem complex. Our guide will help steer you in the right lane ...

Goodyear promises to combine ultra-high-speed performance with
reasonable all-season traction with the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season
tire. The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tire is aimed at the same
sports/ GT muscle car market as the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S,
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position, and Pirelli
The tire has kept the Goodyear testers and developers busy for some
time, now. The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tire features some really
serious technical advances like
These days, tires seem to be packed full of advancements that could be just as much at home in your average space shuttle. There's certainly been a lot of thought put into the carbon-fiber reinforcing of the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tire. And locked inside the sidewall are short pieces of the material aligned by rollers and molded into the inner sidewall. The tire's compound is tailored to a 70/30 dry/wet traction bias but still manages to provide a very reasonable tread-wear rating of 420.
For those who are scratching your head whenever
carbon fiber is mentioned, you'd better get used to it. Carbon fiber is
a material consisting of extremely small fibers and composed mostly of
carbon atoms. Carbon fiber is ideal for applications that require high
strength but with low weight. In the past, carbon fiber was the choice
of aerospace engineers, the military and high end sport applications.
Now, it's starting to find its way into more applications, like tires.
Unfortunately, there isn't any tread warranty offered for the
Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires. Goodyear makes no apologies for
that as the sports and GT cars these tires are aimed at capable of
destroying most tires.
Other new advancements in the F1 All Season Eagles include DuPont Kevlar for added strength, a new compound that actually keeps the sidewalls black, and a sidewall that is designed to protect expensive rims from damage.
The tire comes in a variety of sizes, all of which are Y speed rated
for 186mph. Motortrend extensively tested a few sets of
F1 All Season Goodyear Eagle tires, using a variety of vehicles and
published a report of their findings.
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company created a special new tire for the Shelby GT500KR Mustang with a compound that is exclusive to North America. The tires are designed to get maximum horsepower to the ground, as well as enhance the handling of Carroll Shelby's new GT500KR Mustang. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tire is fitted to the Shelby KR Mustang, in sizes P255/45R18 (front) and P285/40R18 (rear).
The tires are available for different vehicles, including other Mustangs.
