TireRack goes the extra mile

Recently the sad realization set in that I needed 4 new tires.
I researched Tirerack's prices on the web and picked out a suitable set for my vehicle.
I attempted to place my order with TireRack. Unfortunately the tires I wanted were not in stock, despite the web indicating they were.
I contacted TireRack and rather than go over comparable brands, the TireRack employee immediately apologized and without asking, offered to sell me a set of upgraded tires for the same price!
How could I refuse? I was so pleased with the experience, I have been praising TireRack to all my friends. It was the kind of customer service I had learned not to expect this day and age.
