Got Tires for Sale, or know who sells them?

The Tire Information World Tire Sellers Directory is where you can look for or list places that have the tires you're interested in.  This directory is not intended for casual sellers -- for this we'd suggest you consider using a service such as Craigslist.

How this directory is Organized

Preparing your Listing Title

For consistency we ask that you enter your headline in a standard format, (location, tire type, tire brand, name) as described below, then in the description you have almost free reign to say whatever you feel is pertinent.

You will form your headline to produce a string with the following elements, separated by dashes, as shown:

LOCATION

For location enter COUNTRY, STATE, CITY, keeping in mind the following points:

• If listing a business which sells tires online, use the word ONLINE, and preceed it with the country name if you sell only to domestic (non-export) customers.
• If listing a chain store which sells throughout a country, do not enter the State nor the City.  You may explain partial coverage in your description.  If you sell only in one state, enter the State, but not the city.
• Multiple locations may be created, one for each specific city, but describe multiple locations in any city within the description.

TIRE TYPE

• Within your listing, include a complete list of all tire types and common names which your customer might use in looking for them.
• Use the word PASSENGER in your title to refer to cars and light trucks.
• Use the word VARIOUS if you sell a variety of tire types.  You may want to consider several entries, one for each tire type.
• You may use other single words if a suitable one is not suggested above.  In choosing a new word, choose one which is commonly used by your customers.

TIRE BRAND

For Brand name use the key brand you sell such as GOODYEAR, PIRELLI, MICHELIN, BFGOODRICH, CONTINENTAL, COOPER, etc, but if you sell several brands, use MULTI BRAND.  

• Within your directory you should list all the important brands which you offer.
• You may wish to enter several listings, one for each specific brand which you sell if one major listing or the term MULTI BRAND is not suitable, but keep in mind that multiple listings will not increase your chance of being found in a search, if you list all brands within your listing..

BUSINESS NAME

For name put the name which you are known to your customers.

TYPICAL LISTING

A typical listing heading might look like:

• USA, CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES -- MOTORCYCLE -- MULTI BRAND -- Hougen's Cycle Tires.

or

• USA ONLINE -- VARIOUS -- MULTI BRAND -- Tire Rack.

or

• CANADA -- PASSENGER -- MULTI BRAND -- Canadian Tire.

Directory Listing Assistance

Finding a Dealer

• Try to include as many relevant terms as you can think of, without being overly specific.  The search may reveal other pages which include the terms you use.
• The search will discover terms which are in the listing description, in addition to the listing title, so do not feel limited by terms suggested in the above guide.
• If there are too many pages returned, try to use additional or more specific terms.  
• If no entry or too few are returned, you may wish to try broader terms or near by cities.
• A new listing may not be included in search results for a few days, so do not be concerned if you cannot find a recently added listing.  The delay depends on Google processing.

Where can I buy tires?

Do you have a tire seller to recommend? or,
Do you own or operate a business selling tires?

Make certain you follow the guidelines above and, if necessary, you may register more than one location or brand, however, make certain the description clearly distinguishes one listing from another. "Carbon copy" listings are discouraged and may be rejected.
