On March 6, 2010 I purchased from Costco a set of new Michelin Energy MXV4 tires that had a manufactured date of "3708" on the DOT code. The tires are warranted for six years by the manufacturer. So when does the 6-year warranty expire ? From the date of manufacture or the date of sale ?
Unfortunately, I did not look at the tire manufacture date until I took the car home and I am now currently in "discussion" with Costco. The tires are now more than 1 year 5 months old, which means I have lost nearly 24% of its useful life of 6-years. Should I pursue the issue strongly or just let it go?
