Editorial Comment:
The new tires are about 12mm lower than new tires of the old size.
It is important to realize that the old tires will have less tread than they were when they were new, and because of that the difference may be less.
If your vehicle is NOT used in 4x4 mode, then there will be little to be concerned about, but makers of 4 wheel drive vehicles recommend that the same size be used to avoid damages when operating in this mode. Because the vehicle will be built with some tolerance which would account for a differing rate of wear between front and rear tires, I'd guess that you should not be overly concerned as long as you do not use the 4 wheel mode.
If you plan to drive in 4 wheel mode, you should have all 4 tires the same size, and if you are replacing them, they should all be replaced with the same size at the same time.
If your back tires were greatly worn, perhaps your dealer did you a favor by making this change.
