can I rotate them though???
by: Andy

The family 'tire expert' berated me for letting the salesman put these on my car, and says I can't rotate them now?

Comment:

The only rotation you should do with these is back and forth on the same axle, so you lose out on the potential benefit of rotation which is to even out the wear on each tire by switching positions, because each tire position can produce a different type of wear on an individual tire.

If you only switch them left and right, the front tires don't get a chance to be used on the back and the back tires don't go to the front.

If you want to switch front and back, you can do that but you still need to keep the same tire pair together on the same axle, and you are complicating the rotation pattern and probably will not get the optimum results.

This isn't a disaster, but it is not the most efficient way to manage your tires and you may end up replacing tires which are completely worn out only on a portion of the tread's width instead of all the way across.
