This is dangerous
by: Charlie

Any well trained tire technician will tell you that one of the first rules of safety they learn is to never try to mount a tire of a different diameter on another rim.

There have been cases where operators have been seriously injured by attempting to do this.

Apart from that, there is the danger to the car and driver, too, in that the tire can easily come off the rim if it does get mounted in the first place.

If the Audi owner wants to use R16 tires, they need to change to R16 rims!

It sounds like the Audi owner is trying to change tire rim diameters (R15 To R16) without changing wheels. That definitely won?t work!
