The 175/65R 14 is a very small tire and the is only slightly smaller than the original 185/65 R 14 however, the Corolla actually responds well to a slightly larger size 185/70 R 14 or even 195/70R 14.
You actually need to decide if the value of the smaller tire warrants the slightly reduced performance from you car. What I mean is if the price of these smaller tires is close to free I suppose you would need to try them knowing they will work. If the price is only slightly less than a set of the other sizes then I would not use them. You may find the price of the 195/70R 14 to be a little less than the other sizes because more of them were available in the past and could have generated a little lower price due to the supply.
