I have that circumferential crack too.

All four of my tires have these circumferential cracks that run the course of the tire except the main one is directly across the upper bulge of he lettering section. More than one crack overlaps the circumference just above the rim. The rim crack(s) over lap each other and only on small portions of two tires is there a portion that they are not continuous, some are individual and run straight (so to speak, along this crack. Mine seem a mm wider than the illustration's, without seeing another layer, however you get the feeling it may be eventually.

These tires are 5-6 years old tires bought together, with 80,000mile/8years guarantee from Firestone business. Always inflated to vehicle pressure, never ever detected any loss of air once, except the little that comes with checking pressures regularly.

Am I due for a warranty or simply a buy, but I out right need new tires, right? Are these dangerous rides?...I will be visiting them anyhow. Thank you for your continued concerns for the public.
