Remington Emerald LX

I got a new set of Remington Emerald LX tires for 2001 Ford Windstar, size 205/70/R15. 95S-weight/speed rated, Treadwear 700, Traction AA, Temp B.

There is still about 50% thread left on them, but they are all out-of-round/out-of-shape already. Vehicle rides terrible, wobbles starting at low speeds and vibrates with an increase of speed.

Driving at 70mph feels like wheels are going to fall off, AND THAT'S RIMS IN PERFECT SHAPE AND TIRES PERFECTLY BALLANCED AGAIN. When those tires were spinning on the balance machine it was very noticeable that they were not round anymore.

Personal opinion: I think these tires are poorly designed. They are not made well enough to last their life, until the thread wears out on them.

Compare to Bridgestone or Continental - worn out, bald tires were still in perfect geometrical shape until the wire starts showing and they would still ride without vibration.
