Nexen tires

We frequently receive visitors, like Frank in California, who wonder about Nexen Tires ...

My preferred online tire source is Tire Rack. At the last check, I didn't see them offering tires with the Nexen brand, but it's possible that could have changed.

They may have just bought some or are thinking about it but they don't know to much about this brand.

We believe that most people who've used Nexen Tires have found them satisfactory, and seem to be happy with their generally lower price. 

If there are any complaints from people who are unsatisfied they are rare and, of the few I've seen it is common to blame the tire or the manufacturer when in reality there is something else that is the cause of their difficulty.

At this moment I don't know of any good reason to avoid the brand or any specific tires made by Nexen.

The key to ANY tire is to care for it, and if you have any doubts about the quality, then pay extra attention to the basics of checking pressure regularly, rotation and balancing.

As you may know Nexen is a brand of a Korean manufacturer and gets its name from a shortening of the phrase "Next Century Tire".

The only difficulty I would see in buying this brand is the fact that they are not as easy to find as other, more popular brands, so if you have an urgent need to replace just one or two and you like to keep all your tires the same, this might be a problem.

This same factor might be a plus if you want to have a tire that is "different" from everyone else's -- so it is largely a point of view, too.

Are you shopping for tires? Read Tire Rack's tire test results first. The last time I checked they don't offer Nexen tires, but they do have other major Korean brands as well as others which may meet your needs.
