Kumho or Kumho Tire Co, Ltd. is a South Korean industrial conglomerate established in September 1960 as Samyang Tire. Today it ranks as one of the top ten tire manufacturers in the world.

• Initial production was about 20 tires a day.

• First exports were shipped in October 1965, 200 tires to Thailand.

• Production reached one million tires in a year during 1976.

• Produced their 20 millionth tire in Dec. 1980.

• Offered Colored tires (Rainbow, red, blue, green) for passenger cars in 1982

• Produced their 100 millionth tire, Dec. 1990.

• The company manufactures tires under the Kumho and Marshal brands
