A teenaged girl, named Betty, had just been given privileges to use the family-car . The next Friday night took the car and returned home late from a party.

In the morning her father went out to the driveway to get the newspaper and came back into the house frowning.

At 11:30 Betty sleepily walked into the kitchen to face the question. "What time did you get in last night?"

"Not too late, Dad," she lied.

"Then I'll have to talk with the paper-boy about putting my paper under the front tire of the car," replied her father.
