Good Year Tires

Good Year tires* are the product of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. It is one of the world's oldest and most well known tire makers, founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling who named it in recognition of Charles Goodyear who invented vulcanized rubber in 1839.

Today it is one of the largest tire and rubber companies in the world with 145,000 employees. Its major focus is the manufacture of  tires for automobiles, airplanes, trucks, buses, agricultural implements and heavy machinery.

In addition it makes rubber hoses, shoe soles, and parts for electric printers.

The Goodyear Blimp is one of the companies best known symbols, known throughout the world.

The major tire brands, owned and marketed by the company are Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly
