These tires came on the car, a 2000 Subaru Legacy L when I bought it a couple of years ago.
I have since put 50,000 miles on the car. Because I put on snow tires in the winter, I'd say that I put 30,000 miles on the tires. They wear incredibly well and perform well on dry, wet, or snowy Alaska roads. As a mater of fact, I was searching the web looking for a source of these tires should I ever need to replace them.
Sold by WalMart under a WalMart name? Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Even name brand tires will change their product design and specifications making a once great tire into a very bad tire or visa versa.
If they continue using reliable reputable manufacturers, then I'm OK with that. If it has "Made in China" on it, then I'd worry.
