Want to know about B F Goodrich Tires?

BF Goodrich tires are part of the Michelin family of products.

Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich formed a company in Akron, Ohio in 1870 as Goodrich, Tew & Co.  Ten years later the company name was changed to the B.F. Goodrich Company , later to B.F. Goodrich in the 1980s, and to the Goodrich Corporation in 2001.

As B.F. Goodrich, the company became one of the largest tire and rubber manufacturers in the world, in part through a 1986 merger with Uniroyal (formerly the United States Rubber Company).

The tire business was bought by Michelin in 1988 and the Goodrich Corporation ceased producing tires but the brand name continues as part of Michelin's business.
